Parking Information for Event Hosts

Transportation Services will work with you to provide convenient parking for your guests.

UW-Madison departments and event hosts not affiliated with the university may arrange guest parking at least two weeks before the event date.

If your event is less than two weeks away, please visit a Transportation Services office location to purchase a parking option for a surface lot. Event guests may also use an hourly visitor parking option.

UW Athletics Event Parking

UW Badger football games take place at Camp Randall Stadium.

UW Athletics Season Parking

UW Athletics sells football parking (including accessible parking) in advance on a season basis, and on a single-game basis for accessible parking only.

Single-Game Parking

Single game parking is available for first-come, first-served purchase on game days only. Purchase a parking ticket from the lot attendant. Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.

  • $5 in Lots 60 and 76
  • $20 in Lots 46 and 67
  • $50 in Lot 64 for buses and RVs

Bucky Shuttle

Game Day Parking Restrictions

Vehicles parked illegally in UW-Madison lots used for football game day parking will be ticketed and towed to Lot 59 at the west end of the campus.

UW Athletics sells men’s and women’s basketball parking (including accessible parking) in advance on a season basis.

  • Men’s games: $20 in Lots 7 (Grainger Hall Garage), 46 (Lake & Johnson Ramp) and accessible parking-only in Lots 48 and 87
  • Women’s games: $5 in Lots 29 (N. Park Street Ramp), 46 (Lake & Johnson Ramp) and accessible parking-only in Lot 87

If accessible parking is not available, attendees may use the drop-off area on Dayton Street.

  • Men’s games: $15 in Lots 7 (Grainger Hall Garage), 29 (N. Park Street Ramp), 44, 46 (Lake & Johnson Ramp) and accessible parking-only in Lots 48 and 87
  • Women’s games: $5 in Lots 29 (N. Park Street Ramp), 46 (Lake & Johnson Ramp), 91 and accessible parking-only in Lot 87

  • Lots 60 and 76 (University Bay Drive Ramp) are sometimes reserved for tennis matches. The parking fee is $5. To find if lots are reserved for tennis parking, go to the parking events calendar.
  • If lots are not reserved for tennis during regular business hours, stop by Room 124 of the WARF Building (610 Walnut Street) to purchase a permit from our front desk staff.
  • Parking is free in Lot 60 after 4:30 p.m. and all day on weekends.
  • Vehicles with state-issued disabled hang-tags or plates may park for free in timed parking stalls greater than 25 minutes. Click here for a timed parking stall map.

Swim meets are held at the Soderholm Family Aquatic Center (located in the Nicholas Recreation Center).

UW Athletics does not sell swim meet parking in advance. Parking is first-come, first-served on meet days only.

Parking lots are sometimes reserved for swim meets. To find if lots are reserved for a specific event, go to the parking events calendar.

  • If lots are not reserved for swimming during regular business hours, stop by the Welcome Center at 21 N. Park Street to purchase a permit from our front desk staff.
  • Parking is free in Lot 94 after 4:30 p.m. and all day on weekends, unless otherwise reserved.
  • Vehicles with state-issued disabled hang-tags or plates may park for free in timed parking stalls greater than 25 minutes. Click here for a timed parking stall map.

UW Wrestling matches are held at the Field House.

UW Athletics does not sell wrestling parking in advance. Parking is first-come, first-served on match days only:

  • For Lot 17 (Engineering Drive Ramp), patrons may pull a ticket upon entry.
  • For Lot 19, patrons must display their ADA parking hang tag or ADA parking license plates.

Planning ahead?

Individual event-goers can guarantee space by reserving parking in advance. Complete the daily permit order form or call Special Events at (608) 262-8683. Please allow two weeks for processing.

Hourly parking is available in campus parking garages near event venues. Pull a ticket on entry and use a pay-on-foot station or pay at the gate upon exit. Free parking may be available in nearby surface lots after 4:30 on weekdays and all weekend. If a lot is reserved for an event, you may pay the visitor parking fee upon entry.

If you are not able to purchase parking from the event host, hourly public parking is available near the Fluno Center:

School of Music Event Parking

School of Music events are held in Music Hall, Hamel Music Center, or the Humanities Building (Mills and Morphy Concert Halls). For concert information, visit the School of Music website.

WIAA Tournament Parking

WIAA tournaments bring high school students, athletes, parents, and visitors from every corner of the state to our campus. The privilege of hosting the WIAA tournaments on campus is a partnership between UW Athletics, the City of Madison, the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association, and UW-Madison Transportation Services.

Parking (including accessible parking) is available for $10 on a first-come, first-served basis.

Shuttle service may be available to/from the Alliant Energy Center. For parking details, visit the WIAA website >>.
