Commuters can expect delays for UW Housing fall semester move-in and some campus roadways will close or be limited to one-way traffic from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Traffic impacts: Lake Street sanitary sewer replacement project, June 24-August 30
The City of Madison is preparing for a significant project along N. Lake Street at University Avenue, aiming to replace aging sanitary sewer mains and enhance the storm sewer system. Work will be completed in two phases beginning Monday, June 24.
Segment of Southwest Commuter Path closed behind Kohl Center, May 6 – 10

Construction projects to cause campus-area travel delays this summer

Shamrock Shuffle races to impact travel on campus Saturday morning, March 16
The UW–Madison Police Department will control traffic along the race routes, including Observatory Drive and Linden Drive. Expect some delays between 7:30 and 11 a.m. Madison Metro bus route 80 will detour in the morning which will impact stops on several nearby streets.

Madison Marathon to restrict campus roads on November 12
Campus traffic delays are anticipated in the morning. Lot 26 will be closed. Madison Metro Transit routes A, B, C, D, E, J, O and 80 will detour.
Ironman 2023 to cause campus area traffic detours
The Wisconsin Ironman event is Sunday, Sept. 10 and consists of routes traveling through the Madison area and UW–Madison campus. The marathon course passes through much of campus and will cause detours and delays. Runners are anticipated on the course from 11 a.m. to midnight.
