Parking on campus is limited.

Parking at UW-Madison is limited, which makes managing access for students, employees, and visitors challenging. However, each year 94% of applicants receive an offer for either their first or second parking lot choice. Here are some tips to help you get started in the process of applying for parking on campus.

Review the campus map

The Interactive Campus Map is a great resource for parking lot information. You can easily view lots that are near your building and see lot details (such as enforcement hours) by clicking the lot you'd like to review.

Obtain your NetID and Password

In order to apply for parking you'll need your NetID and password. The Department of Information Technology provides complete information on how to activate, modify, or otherwise manage your NetID and password on the NetID page of their website.

Visit our parking options page

Information on all employee permit types is available on our Permit Parking Options page. This is a good way to learn about the variety of options offered by UW Transportation Services.

Get to know your Unit Transportation Coordinator

Unit Transportation Coordinators (UTCs) are a key resource for you as you navigate parking and transportation on campus. They will be uniquely familiar with parking in your area as well as the best options for your work schedule. You can find your UTC's contact information on the UTC Contact page.
