Who needs a base lot permit?

An annual base lot permit will be appropriate for you if you drive your car to campus for work during the day on weekdays. You should select base lot even if you work rotating shifts of days and evenings or if you are a part-time employee that works during the day.

General info about annual base lot permits
  • Annual permits are primarily for use during a regular (full-time) work week. At all other times, the lot may be open to the public or reserved for other uses.
  • Annual base lot permits are for the exclusive use of the permit holder and may not be transferred or sold.
  • All new applicants must contact their Unit Transportation Coordinator to be entered into the parking application system (PAS).
  • Once you are in the PAS, you can apply for parking by completing the online application.
  • There may be times when annual base lot permit holders will be asked to park in other areas of campus (ex., special events, maintenance and construction). This is a condition of your acceptance of an annual base lot permit.
  • Annual base lot permits are not valid at timed parking stalls, reserved stalls, disabled stalls, loading zones, construction areas or lots being used for Special Events.
  • Emeriti employed in any capacity by the UW can participate in the annual priority parking assignment system and purchase a base lot permit.
