How to Get Your Bus Pass

Simply bring your valid Wiscard (or other photo ID) to pick up your bus pass at Transportation Services:

UW Welcome Center and Visitor Information
21 N. Park Street
Suite 1200

The Transportation Services office is located to the left of the parking garage entrance and bike racks.

Ogg Hall, Union South, and StudentPrint (333 E. Campus Mall) are no longer bus pass distribution sites.

Your pass is valid upon pickup for use on all Madison Metro Transit buses, including BRT routes and paratransit vehicles. (Note: Campus routes 80, 81, 82, and 84 are no-fare buses, and do not require a pass to ride.)

Simply tap your card to the fare reader when boarding a bus.

Eligibility

ASM student bus passes are valid on Madison Metro Transit buses for students who are enrolled and registered for classes for academic credit at UW-Madison, and who have paid the segregated transportation fee (which is part of tuition).

Graduate students who delay payment of segregated fees are eligible for a student bus pass, even if the segregated fee isn’t paid yet.

Contact Transportation Services customer service for specific questions about your eligibility.
