Park and ride Lot 206 is located near the intersection of Aberg Avenue and Packers Avenue. Permit holders may park only in the area marked in red on the map.
A shuttle serves Lot 206 with designated stops throughout campus. Permit holders may also choose to bike, walk, carpool, or use Metro Transit to reach campus.
Lot 206 shuttle information
Lot 206 permit holders can ride a free shuttle weekdays from approximately 5:40 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Shuttles run every 20 minutes at peak times and every 30 minutes at off-peak times.

Lot 206 permit holders may park on campus on UW state-observed holidays, when the lot is closed and the shuttle does not operate: Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, and Independence Day.

Payments are made through ParkMobile, a third-party vendor. Flex permit holders must create an account before their first session.

Parking on campus after hours
Your Lot 206 permit is valid on campus during off-peak hours: weekdays from 4:30 p.m. to 7 a.m., and all day Saturday and Sunday.
Refer to lot signs for enforcement details. Some lots require a permit; if a Flex permit is used in those lots, a Flex payment is also required. Lots may also occasionally be closed due to events or construction.

If you need to park on campus during peak hours (weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.):

Commuting tips
The shuttle is one of many ways to complete your journey to campus. You can also supplement your commute with Madison Metro Transit bus service, campus bus service, or bicycling.
Madison Metro Transit, including campus bus
Eligible employees may purchase a new bus pass throughout the year, or renew an expiring pass between August 1 and 31.
The annual pass is valid from September 1 through August 31, with prorated pricing for passes purchased after September 1. For current rates, visit the rates page. UWHC and UW Medical Foundation employees are not charged; UWHC covers 100% of the cost.

Bicycling
Biking between Lot 206 and campus is about 4-6½ miles (25-40 minutes) depending on conditions and campus location. Check Google Maps for your best route in each direction, which may include Sherman Avenue, E. Mifflin Street, State Street, and others.

Emergency Ride Home
Lot 206 permit holders are eligible for the Emergency Ride Home program (ERH), which provides a cab ride from campus to your home or vehicle in case of an emergency.
