Madison Metro Transit seeking feedback as part of network redesign

April 20 Update: The Metro Transit survey end date has been extended; survey will be open through May 14.

Madison Metro Transit is seeking community feedback in a Transit Choices Survey as part of planning a complete transit network redesign.

Are there particular improvements you’d like to see from Metro? What destinations could be better served? Survey responses will help shape the priorities of transit service in the Madison area–including connections to/from campus–so make your voice heard!

Read on for redesign information and survey detail from Metro:

Metro Transit staff are working on a complete network redesign to create a new system of bus routes that better serves the needs of Madison area residents and businesses.

The network redesign process will reconfigure all of Madison’s bus routes to make them run faster, more frequently, and overall make them easier to use. Before the onset of Covid-19, Metro’s service was mainly oriented towards peak hour routes without limited service during middays, evenings, and weekends. The redesign will better allocate service so it benefits more residents during more parts of the day and week. The redesign will also incorporate bus routes into the future Bus Rapid Transit System that is expected to be implemented in 2024.

Please fill out Metro’s Transit Choices Survey and give your goals and priorities for the future redesigned transit network: surveymonkey.com/r/networkredesign

The survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. The survey is open through May 14, 2021 (updated April 20).
