Transportation Services will waive some on-campus parking restrictions due to reduced Metro Transit bus service on the upcoming Christmas, New Year’s, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day holidays. There are also reduced restrictions on December 23 and 30.

Friday, Nov. 29 daytime football game and Thanksgiving holiday parking, transit impacts
Due to holiday-related reduced Metro Transit bus service, some parking restrictions will be waived on the UW–Madison campus Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. However, a Badgers home football game Friday at 11 a.m. will impact parking availability on campus.

Big changes coming to ASM student bus passes for fall semester 2024
Beginning August 12, UW students must order their bus passes online through Transportation Services before picking them up. Previously, students could pick up passes without placing an order. The passes will now be reusable tap fare cards.
Articulated electric buses coming to campus this summer
The 60-foot vehicles with an accordion in the middle will begin serving UW campus bus routes this summer and are expected to be fully operational for the fall 2024 semester. The buses have more passenger capacity and are fully electric. And yes, they can handle the hairpin turn on Observatory Drive!
Construction projects to cause campus-area travel delays this summer

February bus stop closures to affect accessibility near Van Hise Hall
Closures are planned for the bus stop in front of Van Hise Hall due to construction. Metro routes 28, 38, 65, 80 and 84 will be affected. Those who need assistance with drop-off or pick-up near Van Hise Hall are encouraged to schedule rides with the UW accessible shuttle during the closures. Holiday office hours and transit impacts – December 2023 and January 2024
Legal holidays on Dec. 25, Jan. 1, and Jan. 15 will cause Transportation Services office closures, reduced Madison Metro Transit service, and other service reductions. There will be additional Transportation Services office closures due to construction in the WARF Building.

Madison Marathon to restrict campus roads on November 12
