Due to holiday-related reduced Metro Transit bus service, some parking restrictions will be waived on the UW–Madison campus Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29. However, a Badgers home football game Friday at 11 a.m. will impact parking availability on campus.

Some parking restrictions waived July 4-5
In observance of Independence Day, parking permits will not be required in most surface parking lots on Thursday and Friday, July 4-5. Parking in these lots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All garages and ramps will be under normal weekday operation July 5.

In observance of Juneteenth, parking permits will not be required in most surface parking lots on Wednesday, June 19. Parking in these lots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All garages and ramps will be under normal weekday operation.
Holiday office hours and transit impacts – December 2023 and January 2024
Legal holidays on Dec. 25, Jan. 1, and Jan. 15 will cause Transportation Services office closures, reduced Madison Metro Transit service, and other service reductions. There will be additional Transportation Services office closures due to construction in the WARF Building.
