About department limited permits, service permits, and reserved stalls

Department limited permits allow department vehicles to be parked in a specific campus lot. They are for UW departments and eligible UW-affiliated departments.

Department reserved stalls may be requested by UW departments and affiliates to meet business needs, such as providing parking for office visitors, clients or patients. Stalls are reserved 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Transportation Services provides permits to help the department manage their reserved stall(s).

Service permits are for short-term parking in service / vendor parking stalls across campus. They are for UW departments and eligible UW-affiliated departments whose employees regularly travel across campus for business needs, such as errands, meetings, and deliveries.

Eligible UW-affiliated departments

  • University affiliates eligible for department limited permits, service permits, and reserved stalls include:
  • Wisconsin State Historical Society
