Fall 2026 back to school construction forecast

As Badgers return to campus this fall, construction in east and central areas of the UW–Madison campus will cause sidewalk, bike lane, and road closures through mid-September. Expect travel delays during peak hours, follow posted detours, and use caution near work zones.

Note: Construction schedules are fluid and can change quickly due to weather and other factors.
