Holiday Impacts (Office Hours, Bus) – November 2018

The legal holiday of Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 22 and the unofficial “holiday” on Friday, Nov. 23 will cause closures of certain Transportation Services offices and a reduction in services for Madison Metro Transit.

Transportation Services offices

All Transportation Services offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22. Only the WARF office will be open on Friday, Nov. 23 (no AFCH, 21 N. Park), with shortened hours of operation from 7:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Regular office hours resume on Monday, Nov. 26. Find office hours and locations here.

Metro Transit schedules

Madison Metro buses will be operating on a holiday schedule on Thursday, Nov. 23, meaning all campus routes (80, 81, 82, 84) will not operate. On Friday and Saturday, Nov. 23 and 24, campus routes 80 and 84 will operate on a recess schedule (no 81, 82).

Other Metro routes will run a Saturday schedule on Friday, Nov. 23. All standing paratransit rides on Thursday and Friday are cancelled. Paratransit passengers must schedule casual rides to travel on this date.
