Fall 2025 ASM student bus pass pick-up information

Students who wish to obtain an ASM student bus pass may pick one up between August 18 and September 12 with a valid Wiscard or photo ID at one of these locations :

Gordon Dining & Event Center (Southeast)
Ed Gordon Suite, Room 220

Kronshage Hall (Lakeshore)
Frank Holt Program Room

Pick-up hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am—5pm. Please note that pick-up will not be available Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day.

There is no additional cost to pick up a new bus pass.

After September 12, student bus passes can be picked up at a Transportation Services customer service office.

Students who already have a bus pass should not pick up a new one.

Bus passes are durable tap-fare cards that may continue to be used for as long as students are eligible for the program.

Replacements for lost or damaged bus passes

Bus pass replacements will not be available at the pick-up locations listed above. Replacements are available for a $25 fee at Transportation Services customer service, 21 N. Park Street, Suite 1200, Monday—Friday, 8 am—4 pm (except legal holidays and scheduled office closures).

Eligibility information

About UW Transportation Services

UW Transportation Services is a department within Facilities Planning and Management (FP&M) on the UW–Madison campus serving a variety of customers with a diverse set of parking and transportation needs. The department is responsible for the coordination and administration of all transportation-related services for the UW campus community.

Transportation Services administers the ASM student bus pass program in partnership with the Associated Students of Madison (ASM).
