Campus will be very busy with large sporting events from March 1-3. Expect traffic congestion and delays in the areas near the Kohl Center and the Field House/Camp Randall.
Events at the Kohl Center/LaBahn Arena
- WCHA playoff games — The Wisconsin women’s hockey team will host St. Cloud State for the first round of the WCHA playoffs. The best-of-three series opens on Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. contest at LaBahn Arena and continues on Saturday, March 2 with a 3 p.m. game. If a third game is necessary, it will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 2 p.m.
- Badger Men’s Hockey — Men’s hockey will play Michigan on Friday and Saturday, March 1 and 2 at 8 p.m. on both days. Games held in the Kohl Center.
- Badger Men’s Basketball — Men’s basketball will play Penn State at noon on Saturday, March 1 in the Kohl Center.
Parking will be in high demand, especially on Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2. Transportation Services staff will be selling day-of parking in Lots 29, 46, and 83 for $15 on both days. Lots 44, 48, 91, and 94 are sold out. Parking available in Lot 91 for $5 on Sunday, March 3. Some nearby campus lots are open to the public after 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, but these lots will fill up quickly.

Events at the Field House – WIAA Team Wrestling
The WIAA Team Wrestling State Tournament takes place in the UW Field House on Friday and Saturday, March 1-2. Visitors may park in Lots 16, 17, and 18 for $10; these lots will be staffed 1 – 8 p.m. on Friday and 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
UW permit holders in Lots 16, 17, and 18 may park in their assigned lots during the tournament–no relocation is required. To help you avoid traffic congestion, your permits will be activated to work in Lot 7 (Grainger Hall Garage) and Lot 20 (University Avenue Ramp). More directions are provided in an email sent to these permit holders.
Lot 19 permit holders may park in their assigned lot on Friday, but have specific directions to follow for Saturday–see your email for instructions.
