The WIAA Boys Basketball State Tournament bounces back into the Kohl Center Thursday through Saturday, March 14-16.
UW-Madison permit holders have helped make previous tournaments a success and we’re asking for your help again to make this year’s tournament as accessible as possible for the athletes, parents, and spectators. (WIAA visitors and spectators should see the WIAA website for tournament-specific parking details. Riding the shuttle to/from the Alliant Energy Center is highly encouraged.)
Lots 29, 46, 48, 78, 91, and 94 will be staffed 7:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and 6 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
Annual permit holders (base lot, Flex) in Lots 46, 78, 91, and 94 must relocate on tournament dates. Lots 29 and 83 will also be used for visitor parking, but permit holder relocation is not required. Alternate lots are provided for those who wish to avoid traffic congestion. All Flex users must use their assigned lot code when starting a session, even if they are parked in a different lot.

Traffic during WIAA tournaments can be heavy, especially during peak commuting times. This may be particularly true in areas of ongoing campus construction projects. If you are able, you may wish to explore alternate transportation methods during the tournament dates. Some options include carpooling, biking, or taking the bus! For those who park in an alternate lot on campus, the fare-free campus Route 80 bus can help get you where you need to go.
