Transportation Services announces 2020-21 parking rates and policies

2020-21 parking rates and policies

UW Transportation Services will not change parking rates or other costs for the 2020-21 parking year, which runs Sept. 1, 2020 through Aug. 31, 2021. Due to uncertainty surrounding several future capital projects, an increase in rates is not needed for funding purposes. The 2019-20 parking year prices will remain in place for the 2020-21 year.

Lot 67 (Linden Drive Garage) base lot, Flex and night garage permits will be available to purchase closer to when the garage is anticipated to open—current expected opening in January 2021. There are no other policy updates for the 2020-21 parking year.

A list of rates and Transportation Services policies can be found on the rates and policies webpage.

As an auxiliary enterprise of UW-Madison, Transportation Services—a division of Facilities Planning & Management—receives no state funding and must generate revenue to fund its programs and activities. Revenue funds parking lots and facilities, campus bus service, and federal- and state-mandated alternate transportation activities.

2020-21 parking applications

Although there are unknowns about fall 2020 campus operations, Transportation Services is planning for a regular parking year where permits are required. Information about parking applications for the 2020-21 parking year will be shared in the next couple of weeks. The first time period to apply for 2020-21 parking will start in mid-May. Thank you for your patience.
