Two new construction projects will impact campus travel over the next several weeks. Please see below for details.
North Park Street at Observatory Drive
Beginning Monday, July 11, construction on North Park Street near the Observatory Drive intersection will reduce traffic to one shared lane. This project is expected to last three weeks.
The shared lane will be open to traffic in both directions, and drivers must yield to oncoming traffic. Please expect some congestion, especially at the Lot 6 (Helen C. White Garage) entrance/exit. Drive carefully, use caution, and be aware of pedestrians, bicyclists, workers, and other vehicles.
Walnut Street at Observatory Drive
Beginning Wednesday, July 13, Walnut Street will be fully closed north of Linden Drive and south of Observatory Drive due to construction work. The closure is expected to last four weeks.
Traffic heading north on Walnut Street toward Observatory Drive must detour to the east via Linden Drive/Lot 59 or to the west via Lot 64. Please use caution and drive slowly within the lots where detours are taking place.
The southbound lane of Walnut Street continues to be closed through the summer.
