Holiday office hours and transit impacts – December 2023 and January 2024
Legal holidays on Dec. 25, Jan. 1, and Jan. 15 will cause Transportation Services office closures, reduced Madison Metro Transit service, and other service reductions. There will be additional Transportation Services office closures due to construction in the WARF Building.
Parking restrictions waived for Thanksgiving and November 24; changes to bus service
Parking permits are not enforced on Thanksgiving, and most surface lots will not require parking permits on Friday, November 24. Metro Transit will operate holiday or recess schedules, including campus bus routes. Read more for exceptions and details.
How to apply for a 2023-24 annual parking permit
Applications for 2023-24 base lot, Flex, UW-Accessible, park and ride, and business alternate parking permits opened May 10. There are multiple opportunities to apply before (and after) the upcoming parking year starts. Bus passes and other parking options will become available August 1.
2023-24 department, service/vendor, and reserved stall applications open May 10
Applications will be accepted for 2023-24 department limited permits, service/vendor permits, and reserved parking stalls beginning May 10. The deadline to apply for early consideration is June 9. Applications will be accepted after June 9 and processed in later rounds of parking offers. Permit and reserved stall availability may become limited after the early consideration deadline.
