Holiday office hours and transit impacts – December 2021 and January 2022

The legal holidays on December 24-25, December 31, January 1, and January 17 will cause Transportation Services office closures, reduced Madison Metro Transit service, and other service reductions.

Customer service offices

December 20 – 23 WARF and 21 N. Park Street customer service offices are open.
Hours of service: 7:15 a.m. – 4 p.m.
December 24 All Transportation Services customer service offices are closed.
December 27 – 30 Only the WARF customer service office is open.
Hours of service: 7:15 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The 21 N. Park Street office is closed.
January 3 Regular customer service hours for WARF and 21 N. Park Street resume.
January 17 All Transportation Services customer service offices are closed.

Bus service

Campus bus routes (80, 81, 82, 84)

December 23 No late-night campus bus service.
December 24, 25, 31 & Jan 1 No campus bus service.
December 26 – January 22 Campus routes 80 and 84 (no 81 or 82) operate a recess schedule.
January 23 Standard service resumes.

Other Madison Metro Transit routes

Regular Madison Metro weekday service will be available until 6 p.m. on December 24. All standing paratransit rides are canceled after 6 p.m.

Metro buses will operate a holiday schedule December 25, January 1, and January 17. All standing paratransit rides are canceled: paratransit passengers must schedule casual rides to travel.

Other Transportation Services operations

  • Accessible circulator shuttle service is suspended from December 24 – January 17. Service resumes January 18.
  • University Bicycle Resource Center operates reduced hours until December 20. The shop is closed December 21 – 31.
  • SAFEwalk offices are closed and there is no service from December 23 – January 2. Service resumes January 3.
  • UW park and ride locations
    • Lot 202 is closed and there is no shuttle service December 24 – January 1 and January 17.
    • Lot 203 is closed and there is no shuttle service December 24, 25, 31, and January 1 and 17. Lot 203 is open and there is shuttle service December 28 – 30.
    • Both locations reopen and shuttle service resumes January 3.
