Metro Transit and the City of Madison Transportation Commission will hold a public hearing on potential service updates, including changes to campus Routes 80, 81, 82 & 84. Event hosted downtown at the Madison Municipal Building at 6 p.m. March 11.

Holiday Impacts (Office Hours, Bus) – December 2019 and January 2020
The winter holidays in December and January will close Transportation Services offices and operations and affect Metro Transit bus service.
Several intercity bus lines moving to new stop November 5
The new UW campus intercity bus stop is on Lake Street between Johnson and Dayton Streets. Badger Bus, Jefferson, and Lamers services start using the new stop on Nov. 5, 2019. Van Galder service starts at the new stop in January 2020.
Freakfest 2019 road closures and traffic detours
Detours for Freakfest begin Friday, Oct. 25 night with some Metro Transit routes. Street closures and significant detours in place on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Campus bus forums for proposed 2020-21 service changes
The UW-Madison community is invited to attend forums about proposed changes to the campus bus service for the 2020-21 year. Sessions will be held across campus in mid-to-late September.
Ironman 2019 to cause campus detours
The Madison Ironman is Sunday, Sept. 8. The marathon route impacts several campus roads–expect detours and delays.
Observatory Drive westbound only from Bascom Hall to Charter Street
Observatory Drive between Charter Street and Bascom Hall/Lot 11 is westbound traffic only starting May 20. The closure is expected to last about two weeks.
